Prior to commencing vocational placement in an Aged Care facility, students will be required to complete a National Criminal History check. Students wanting to do vocational placement in a Disability or Home and Community Care venue will also be required to complete both a Disability Worker Screening and a Working with Children (Blue Card) check. Any reportable outcomes will be reviewed by the Placement Provider to decide if the student is suitable for placement.

Both formal and informal skills, knowledge and experience may be recognised as prior learning and could help you avoid training in areas you are already competent.
