Career Boost – Program Schedule 4 (General Training)
This skill set is delivered under the Queensland Government Career Boost Program, which supports individuals to upskill, reskill, or advance within their current role or industry.
What this means for students:
- Access to government-subsidised training
- Reduced course fees (co-contribution may apply)
- Training focused on targeted, job-relevant skills
Eligibility (General Overview)
Students may be eligible if they:
- Live or work in Queensland
- Are an Australian/New Zealand citizen or eligible visa holder
- Are seeking to upskill or progress within the care sector
Students can already hold a qualification (this is a key difference from Career Start)
Fee-for-Service Option
Also available as full fee training:
- No eligibility requirements
Suitable for:
- Employer-funded staff
- Ineligible students
- Short course enrolment
There are no entry requirements to this qualification.
Before enrolling, your proficiency in language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy will be assessed to determine what level of support you may need to assist you through your study program.
Students will need to have access to a computer, the internet and Microsoft office or similar software. Online students will be required to download the free Microsoft Teams App.
Both formal and informal skills, knowledge and experience may be recognised as prior learning and could help you avoid training in areas you are already competent.
The RPL pathway is available to any learner who can provide evidence of competency for the units offered within the qualification. Contact Us for more information on this process and how to apply.
